Where we came from

The Door & Hardware Federation (DHF) was created in December 2004 by a merger between the Association of Building Hardware Manufacturers (founded 1897) and the Door & Shutter Manufacturers’ Association (founded 1940), both of which have established excellent reputations in their respective industries, particularly in the area of technical expertise and the development of performance standards in national and international arenas.
